Lydia Richardson under the bridge, - During repeated visits to the bridge near Brussels’ Midi Station, Anne Thuot watches this complex and dirty space where trams, inhabitants, Eurocrats, commuters intersect with the slow wanderings of the homeless who have made this place their refuge. Anne Thuot seeks to be in touch with their social misery. She wants to experience it. To do so, she dresses up as Lydia Richardson, an imagined character directly inspired by her own autobiography. After her father’s death, Lydia has become a rich heiress. She now is a ‘perfect European woman’: she already had the right skin colour, the right culture, and now she has also money! All these investigations have been noted down in a text and a video: a creative process will be shared with the audience through a performative conference.
